HAWAIIAN GOAT COFFEE

Owners Elizabeth and Payman of Hawaiian Goat Coffee source and roast HiCO's coffee beans on Kona Direct Farm in Holualoa—just 7 miles and 1,600 ft up mauka (towards the mountain) from our Kailua-Kona coffee shop.


Elizabeth and Payman are two dedicated coffee professionals with over 14 years of combined experience as Q Graders, baristas, roasters, consultants, and farmers. They use their deep-rooted connections to source exceptional coffee, then apply their technical expertise to operate state-of-the-art roasting equipment—bringing out the full flavor and quality of every local bean.


Kona Direct Farm is owned by renowned grower Kraig Lee, who produces some of the finest specialty coffee in the world. You won’t find a more direct farm-to-cup connection than this!


Our close-knit partnership with Hawaiian Goat Coffee means our coffee is truly farm to cup—freshly harvested, expertly roasted nearby, and served to you with Aloha.

HOW COFFEE HAPPENS

CHERRY

First, you harvest the coffee cherry which holds the coffee bean—it's sweet and picked at peak ripeness.

PARCHMENT

After the cherry skin is removed and the bean is washed and dried, parchment forms.

GREEN

After the parchment is removed, the raw coffee bean (green bean) is revealed.

ROASTED

Green beans are roasted to perfection to bring out flavor, aroma, and color. It's time to grind and brew!
